US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said he will order a 10% reduction in flights at 40 major US airports starting Friday, November 7, unless an agreement is reached on a federal government shutdown. His words lead Reuters.

According to the agency, due to the shutdown, 13,000 air traffic controllers and 50,000 Transportation Security Administration employees were forced to work without pay. This further exacerbates staff shortages, leading to widespread flight delays and long security check queues at airports.
Previously, it was known that the government shutdown in the US under current President Donald Trump became the longest shutdown in the country's history.
