According to the 198-page report, 427 deaths directly related to drugs occurred in Türkiye in 2024. The death rate increased by 42.3% compared to 2023. The highest number of deaths were among people under 30 years old, with 160 people. 6 of them are under 18 years old. 3 THOUSAND 656 PEOPLE'S LICENSES CONSIDERED According to data in the report, 309 thousand 28 drug cases were intervened in 2024 nationwide. While 374 thousand 948 suspects were arrested, 78.2% of them were charged with “Buying/receiving/possessing drugs for personal use”. 244 of the 427 deaths in 2024, or 57.1%, occurred due to polypharmacy. The total number of people registered for outpatient treatment at treatment centers was recorded as 390 thousand 778. 43.2% of people treated did not have a stable job and 3.2% were students.
