
All traffic penalties are different, from drunk driving to obstructing the flow of traffic, from speeding to running red lights. Discussions on proposed amendments to the Highway Traffic Law will continue this week.

FIRST SIX ENTRY ACCEPTED
According to the proposal, the first 6 articles are accepted, the driver who intentionally changes the license plate to make the registration plate different or unreadable will be subject to an administrative fine of 140 thousand liras and banned from traffic for 30 days.
It is mandatory to have a tachometer on motor vehicles used to transport goods with a maximum weight of over 3,500 kg and on motor vehicles with more than 17 seats, including the driver, used in passenger transport activities and a tax meter on cars providing taxi services.
The driving licenses of those who violate the speed limit above 46-55 km/h within the settlement area will be revoked for 30 days each time, those who violate the speed limit above 56-65 km/h will be revoked for 60 days each time, and those who violate the speed limit above 66 km/h will be revoked for 90 days each time.
There will be an administrative fine of 15 thousand liras for drivers who do not give way to priority vehicles.
Drivers who do not give way to rescue vehicles, vehicles carrying injured or emergency patients, firefighters and forest fire engines and do not stop if necessary will be subject to an administrative fine of 46 thousand liras and have their driving license revoked for 30 days.
PENALTY FOR TERRIBLE DRIVERS
An administrative fine of 180 thousand liras will be imposed on drivers who try to follow another vehicle for the purpose of attacking in traffic or get out of the vehicle for this purpose, their driver's license will be revoked for 60 days and these vehicles may be banned from traffic for 30 days.
If changing the vehicle causes noise that affects surrounding people, the driver operating that vehicle will be fined 16 thousand liras.
Driver's license will be revoked for 60 days if causing a traffic accident by running a red light. A revoked driver's license will be returned at the end of the revocation period on condition that the driver undergoes a technical psychometric evaluation and it is understood that there are no impediments to obtaining a driver's license.
An administrative fine of 5 thousand liras will be imposed on drivers who use mobile phones, car phones and similar communication devices while driving.
An administrative fine of 46 thousand liras will be imposed on motor vehicle drivers who compete and have their driving licenses revoked for 2 years.
In case of a traffic accident that causes death or injury, the driver who leaves the scene of the traffic accident without permission from the police will be sentenced to imprisonment from 1 year to 3 years.
COUNCIL PROGRAM
The bill amending certain laws and Law Decree No. 375, including increasing the minimum pension, will be discussed at the Planning and Budget Committee.
The Public Works, Zoning, Transport and Tourism Committee will discuss the Land Registration Law Amendment Bill, which also includes provisions on exorbitant site fees, and a number of laws as well as Law Decree No. 375.
According to the Law on Establishment of the Turkish Asset Fund Management Joint Stock Company and amendments to certain laws, the Planning and Budget Committee will discuss the “Presidential Memorandum on the Submission of the Audit Report on the 2024 Financial and Operational Statements of the Turkish Asset Fund Management Joint Stock Company and the Turkish Asset Fund”.
The Human Rights Inquiry Subcommittee on the Rights of the Child will meet and the Report on the threats and risks awaiting our children in digital media will be discussed.
Group meetings of political parties with groups in the National Assembly will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
