In Izmir, a truck with broken brakes destroyed the wall of an apartment on the ground floor of a building. Likewise, the residents of the building, who claimed that a third excavation had taken place, reacted by claiming that the city government did not offer a solution to the situation.
In Izmir's Bayraklı district, the truck driven by İ.Y. crashed into the ground floor wall of a 4-storey apartment building owned by Çetin Şahin due to brake failure. The living room wall of the house was destroyed. The driver survived the accident without injury, and it was reported that no one was home.
While the truck was being towed away from the accident scene, the building owner said they had encountered a similar situation for the third time and claimed that the commune government did not offer a solution. Recalling that the city's first grader had previously crashed into a neighboring building and the driver had died, Şahin said: “We repeatedly told the city authorities that this road should be changed, but it was not considered. On February 3, a bus had a similar accident here. Then, we erected a concrete barrier in front of the house. Today, the truck broke the barrier and crashed into the wall. Are they waiting? death? Children I used to sleep here, now my brother-in-law's children are sitting there. At the time of the accident, what would have happened if they were?”
