
Due to the new cold wave coming in from Ukraine, the temperature in the West dropped by 2-3 degrees. Snowfall, affecting most of the country, is expected to cover some districts of Izmir and Antalya with a blanket of snow.
According to data from the General Department of Meteorology (MGM), it is raining all over the country today. With the new cold spell coming from Ukraine, this precipitation is expected to be in the form of snow in most cities except Izmir and the surrounding area as well as the Mediterranean coast.
It is estimated that air temperatures will decrease significantly in the north and west and drop by 2-3 degrees in Istanbul.
The rains that brought educational activities to a halt in many cities are expected to give way to snow even in some districts and higher areas of Izmir and Antalya, with temperatures dropping.
CODE YELLOW WARNING TO 41 CITIES

Gümüşhane, Hakkari, Hatay, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Muş, Nevşehir, Niğde, Ordu, Rize, Samsun, Siirt, Sivas, Tokat, Trabzon, Tunceli, Şanlıurfa, Van, Yozgat, Aksaray, Bayburt, Karaman, Batman, Şırnak, Kilis etc.
A code yellow warning has been issued for Osmaniye. People living in these cities are asked to be careful due to the risk of heavy snowfall, storms, floods and avalanches.
THE TEMPERATURE WILL SEE MINUS 10
MGM also warned of freezing conditions in the central and eastern regions, where temperatures will drop from zero to minus 10 degrees at night and in the morning.
