While the taxi problem continues in Istanbul, the address this time is Ataşehir. A taxi driver initially noticed heavy traffic so he refused to accept passengers, then let the disabled people he accepted get off the bus.
The taxi driver waiting in front of a shopping mall in Ataşehir district did not want to pick up passengers because of the traffic density.
The driver accepted the ride after the passenger said he was going to another destination, canceled the trip and dropped the passenger off when he realized there were 4 people in the car.
While it is known that two of the passengers responded to the situation by saying they had a disability, one of the victim passengers explained his experience.
“HE DID NOT TAKE US ANYWAY”
While Ufuk Ünal, a passenger, said: “Even though we said we were disabled, he didn't pick us up at all,” residents who witnessed the incident also reacted to the taxi driver.
Stating that the weather was very cold and rainy, Ünal said: “The taxi driver asked: 'Is it towards Bagdat Street?' He said, 'No, İçerenköy direction', I said. However, because there are disabled people in my family, including me, the taxi driver took me into the car because at first he thought I was going alone.” he said.
Stating that four people got into the car, Ünal said: “Even though we said we were disabled people, he did not let us in and turned away and left.” he said.
Ünal said that they complained about their grievances.
