
A gang that robbed money transfer vehicles of two banks while money was being loaded into ATMs in Izmir was busted and 9 suspects were arrested. Every detail of the robbery, in which about 30 million lira was stolen, was recorded by security cameras.
The gang disabled security guards who were loading money into an ATM in Izmir's Karabağlar district and disappeared with 30 bags of captured money.
The incident happened on January 12. A security company's money transfer vehicle arrived at the scene to transfer money to ATMs of two banks in the area. While security guards CM (24) and RA (37) were making transactions inside the ATM, three suspects approached from behind and pointed guns. The suspects used plastic handcuffs to tie up the officers, beat them, and fled the scene with 30 bags of money.

Teams of the Izmir Police Department began investigating the robbery and examining security camera footage in the area.
In the records, it shows that the suspects scouted the area the day before the incident, disabled the security forces on the day of the incident, stole money and fled.

The police arrested 10 suspects. During the search of the suspects' homes, workplaces and vehicles, 13 million 162 thousand 780 liras, 10 thousand 300 dollars, 6 thousand 540 euros, 100 pounds, the security guard's mobile phone, 5 unlicensed guns and rifles, 7 magazines and 74 cartridges for these weapons were seized. Upon inspection, it was determined that 20 thousand liras were missing.

Among the suspects are FA (28), M.Ş. (30), CM (24), MM (27), MOÇ. (20), AFG (27), MA (20), Ş.Ö. (45) and MEA (16), the child dragged into the crime was arrested by the peace penal service on duty.
It was determined that the subjects belonging to the organized crime group led by FA planned their actions about 1 month in advance, pasted license plates of other vehicles on the vehicle committing the crime and transferred money to another vehicle after the robbery.
