The proposal, which envisaged a salary increase in the proportion of 30 thousand lira for some managers working in the public sector, was withdrawn at the General Assembly of the National Assembly.
The regulation, which foresees a proportional salary increase of up to 30 thousand lira for general directors, heads of departments, heads of organizations, provincial directors, inspectors and specialists in the public sector, was added to article 4 of the 2026 budget bill in the GNAT Planning and Budget Committee according to a petition.
However, due to criticism that this wage increase would “disrupt labor peace”, this proposal was canceled from becoming law.
At the Congress, during the discussion on Article 4, this proposal was removed from the law with the proposal of the AK Party.
