
Regulations related to increasing the minimum pension to 20 thousand liras were approved by the General Assembly of the National Assembly.
The General Assembly of the Türkiye Parliament (TBMM) convened under the chairmanship of the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Celal Adan, to discuss the Bill on Amendments to Certain Laws and Decree No. 375.
In sometimes tense negotiations, the seventh article of the proposal, which envisaged an increase in the minimum pension, was accepted.
With the proposal, the minimum pension of 16 thousand 881 TL was increased to 20 thousand TL with an increase of 18.40%. The increase of 3 thousand 119 lira will take effect from January 1.
In addition, the minimum wage subsidy for employers was increased from 1,270 lira to 1,270 lira.
