The proposal to extend the permit to send troops to Libya for two years has been submitted to the Chairman of the National Assembly.
The President's memorandum on extending the right to send troops to Libya for 24 months was submitted to the President of the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament.
In the memorandum submitted with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it was reminded that efforts to build democratic institutions in Libya after the events of February 2011 were interrupted due to increased armed conflict and a fragmented structure that emerged in the country.
“Establishing peace and ensuring stability is of great importance for Türkiye,” the memorandum stated. Declaration is also included.
