“I THOUGHT HE WOULD ATTACK, I PUNCHED HIM”
SA, one of the suspects, said: “I punched the person because I thought he was going to attack me.” he said. MY said: “I did nothing to harm or kill him on the day of the incident. I don't know why he died. I definitely did not hit Melih Okan Keskin.” he said.
Relatives and lawyers of police officer Melih Okan Keskin, who died in the incident, issued a press release in front of the vehicle inspection station where the incident occurred.
The Keskin family's lawyer said: “We will follow every stage of this file, from the investigation stage to the trial stage. We hope that evidence will be fully collected, all perpetrators of the incident will be exposed, and a verdict will be made in a way that satisfies the conscience of society.” he said.
Two suspects arrested after the incident on February 2 were arrested and taken to prison, while one suspect was released on condition of judicial control.

In the organization's second statement, it was announced that the employment contracts of other employees found to be involved in the incident, in accordance with the new findings that emerged during the trial, have been terminated and the internal investigation is continuing.

In the statement, “All types of information and documents have been transferred to the investigating authorities.
