The first president of the political life
After the beginning of the political life of multi -party, Bayar, the establishment of Dnan M Aseres, Fuat Köprülü and Refik Koraltan and the Democratic Party (DP) in January 1946, was appointed Chairman of the Party. In May 1950, DP, working with the great support of the people, ended the 27 -year single period and became the first political party to gain power through free elections. DP 55 percent of votes in the election joined the National Assembly with 416 delegates. In the same election, CHP won 69 seats and was disappointed. According to the first DP, Celal Bayar became the president of the National Assembly. The first Adnan M Aseres government started working on May 22, 1950. Bayar was elected Türkiye's third president by the Grand Turkish National Assembly on May 22, 1950.
