4 suspects selling 1 million lira of fake gold in Burdur were arrested by the police.
The suspect named BK said he wanted to exchange the gold in Burdur and contacted the complainant named MA. The accuser went downtown on January 27 and met the suspects face to face.
The suspects gained the complainant's trust by selling some real gold they were carrying. It is known that the suspects said they would later sell a large amount of gold and called the complainant to the city center. The complainant came again on January 29 and bought gold for 1 million TL. However, when it was discovered that the purchased gold was fake, a judicial investigation was conducted within the framework of the crime of “fraud” following the complaint of the complainant.
After the work of police teams, suspects named KK, HK, BK and ED were identified as the perpetrators of the incident who were arrested in the Çay district of Afyonkarahisar on February 18 and brought to the city center.
The suspects were released after procedures at the police station, according to the court's judicial control order.
