The employee robbed the jewelry store he worked at in Istanbul, going out to have fun with friends at a hotel. Five suspects involved in the theft were arrested.
A robber of the jewelry store where he worked in Istanbul went to the hotel to have fun with friends.
The incident occurred on Friday, January 9, at Bahçelievler Kuyumcuckent. The CD jewelry store operator allegedly noticed that EA, who was at work, had taken 350 thousand dollars and 58 thousand euros from the safe without his knowledge and reported the situation to the police team.
According to the CD statement, an investigation has been launched by police teams. The teams of the Public Order Branch Directorate of the Istanbul Police Department identified the suspects found to be involved in the incident thanks to work carried out in coordination with the Intelligence Branch Directorate.
Suspects named EA, TY, YBT, EA and AZ, who were identified in connection with the incident during the investigation, were arrested in Sultangazi district during operations carried out on January 10-11. All suspicions have been referred to the Fraud Prevention Department teams of the Public Order Directorate for handling.
THEY GO TO BE HAPPY WITH THEIR MONEY AT ALL
The teams have investigated deeply and learned details about the incident. Accordingly, the suspect named EA who took the money from the safe first turned off his cell phone. The suspect then bought himself a new cell phone.
After that, EA went to a neighborhood, hid the money in the coal warehouse in the neighborhood he came from and told his friends. He then left here and stayed at a hotel in Sultangazi, then called his friends and informed them.
His friends took the money, put it in a coal bin and went to the hotel where EA was staying. Suspect EA and six of his friends who stayed at the hotel for a while invited some women they met on social networks to come to the hotel and have fun.
Seven suspects who stole a large amount of foreign currency from work and entertainment in hotels with the stolen money were arrested and detained.
Among the subjects who have completed procedures at the police station; EA, TY, YBT, EA, AZ were arrested and sent to prison by the court where they moved to. Judicial control measures were applied against the two suspects.
