Yesterday, Ayben Özçilingir Turtura ordered Turkish coffee at the cafe she went to with her friend in Ömer Avni District. As soon as Turtura took his first sip of coffee, he suddenly felt nauseous and ran to the bathroom.

Some time later, the young girl was taken to the hospital with difficulty breathing and tongue numbness.
Turtura, who received first aid at the hospital, was transferred to another hospital and received intensive care for suspected caustic poisoning, which is known to be an ingredient commonly used in cleaning products and soaps.
CLAIM: “Coffee is made with detergent”
During the investigation carried out by the teams of the Beyoğlu Public Security Bureau, it was determined that E.Ö. (52), the father of those in charge of the business, put dishwashing liquid into bottles used in the kitchen.
It is believed that MA (50), the coffee maker, accidentally made coffee from a bottle filled with this detergent.

Father E.Ö. While the testimony of another business owner, GSÖ (26), was taken, MA, the barista and business owner, SNÖ. (28), who was in the cafe at the time of the incident, was named a “suspect” by the court after checking in at the police station.
The cafe was blocked by the police.
