
The Turkish Football Federation's Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) has sentenced 489 players to 2 to 12 months of disbarment within the scope of a betting investigation.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) sentenced 489 players to between 2 and 12 months in prison.
In the TFF statement, it was stated that a total of 489 people, including upper-rank observers, classification observers, tournament representatives, those who have held the position of referee in TFF in the past five years, regional referees, regional assistant referees, regional observers and 2 football players under administrative management, have been banned from competition for 2 to 12 months.
It is known that the jury decided there was no need to punish 14 people and decided to continue investigating and administratively handling 6 people.
It should be noted that it was decided to lift the administrative measures related to both names and continue the trial without any preventive measures.
