A woman living in Turgutlu district of Manisa died after being shot by her husband with a rifle.
Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports from residents who heard gunshots from an apartment in Turgutlu, Yılmazlar district. Allegedly, Adıgüzel Aybar, who was facing financial difficulties, used a rifle to shoot her husband Hasibe Aybar during an argument. Aybar, who was shot in the neck, fell to the ground covered in blood.
Hasibe Aybar, who was determined seriously injured by medical staff upon examination, was taken to Turgutlu State Hospital after first aid at the scene.
Hasibe Aybar, mother of three children, could not be saved despite the intervention of doctors. The police arrested Adıgüzel Aybar and detained her. The investigation into the incident continues.
