Tunç announced that the new implementation regulation is inapplicable. Evaluating the 12th Judicial Package, Tunç said that this judicial package does not contain implementing regulations but rather regulations aimed at improving the efficiency of civil proceedings and preventing delays in judicial activities.

Tunç stated that 38 thousand 57 people benefited from the reduction of executions in the 11th Justice Package, known to the public as the Covid regulations, and said: “The people who benefited from the Covid regulations are those who are in open prisons. Those convicted in open prisons can get leave every 3 months. The statement that he was released from open prisons and committed a crime is not true.” he said.

Tayfun Kahraman, who was detained in the Gezi Park case, in which the Constitutional Court (AYM) ruled that his rights were violated, was recently hospitalized due to MS attacks.
Speaking on the subject, Tunç said that Kahraman is undergoing treatment. Stating that the report that needs to be prepared about Kahraman after the treatment will be sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Tunç said, “If there is a situation related to the postponement of execution, Forensic Medicine will decide. Up to now, Kahraman has not applied for a postponement of execution to Forensic Medicine. Forensic Medicine will make a decision according to the report submitted.” he said.
