
26 of the 42 DAESH members detained in connection with the activities of the terrorist organization DAESH in Yalova, in which three police officers died, have been arrested.
Following the Yalova operation in which İlker Pehlivan (47), Turgut Külünk (50) and Yasin Koçyiğit (49) were martyred, an effort was launched across the city to arrest suspects believed to be linked to the terrorist organization DAESH.
Forty-two suspects were arrested in simultaneous operations across the city. After checking in at the police station, the suspects were taken to Yalova Court under strict security measures.
26 out of 42 suspects were arrested by the court.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Police forces carried out an operation against ISIS terrorists in Yalova on December 29 and a conflict broke out after they responded with weapons.
As a result of the fire, 3 policemen died and 8 policemen and a guard were injured. During the conflict that broke out, 6 terrorists were killed. The family of terrorist Zafer Umutlu announced that they would not receive the body.
ACTIVITIES IN THE CITY
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced that 357 suspects were arrested in operations carried out in 21 cities. Announcing that operations took place in Adana, Ağrı, Ankara, Antalya, Bingöl, Çorum, Denizli, Erzincan, Gaziantep, Giresun, İstanbul, Kastamonu, Kilis, Konya, Muğla, Niğde, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Yalova and Van, Yerlikaya emphasized that terrorism Dad won't be given a chance.
During the raid in Istanbul, two long-barreled binoculars, four air guns, one air gun, nine cartridges, a sword, a machete, a lockbox and a knife were seized.
