An explosion occurred in the basement of a 6-story building on Hanzer Street in Güven district for unknown reasons.
When notified, many firefighters, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Two people injured by the explosion were taken to the hospital after receiving first aid from the medical team.

STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNMENT
In the Istanbul Governor's statement on the incident, it was stated that an explosion occurred in a building located in Hanzer Street, Güven District of Güngören district, at around 19:00 and many firefighters, AFAD and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene.
In the statement: “The fire that broke out after the incident was extinguished by firefighters. According to initial findings, two people were injured in the explosion believed to have been caused by natural gas. The injured were taken to area hospitals and treated by the medical team, their injuries are not life-threatening.” statements were included.
