Their mother, father and son were found dead with gunshot wounds in an apartment building in Izmir.
The bodies of Şadi (67) and Hatice Avcı (54) and their son Mehmet Avcı (32), shot with a gun, were found in an apartment in the Torbalı district of Izmir. It is believed that Mehmet Avcı committed suicide after killing his parents. The incident occurred at an apartment in Muratbey district, 3663 18th Street.
Relatives who could not hear from Mehmet Avcı, his mother Hatice Avcı and his father Şadi Avcı, who lived in Torbalı, reported the situation to the police. Police teams arrived at the scene following the announcement, and when they entered the house with the help of a locksmith, they found the parents and their son shot with a gun and covered in blood.
Upon examination, it was determined that all were dead. Police teams conducted a detailed investigation at the scene. According to initial investigation results, it is believed that Mehmet Avcı used a gun to shoot his mother Hatice and father Şadi Avcı and then committed suicide. Police teams are also assessing the possibility of murder. The bodies of the deceased were taken to the morgue of the Izmir Institute of Forensic Medicine for post-mortem examination.
