Nine illegal immigrants who flew into the river while hiding from police in Hatay have been deported.
The incident occurred on November 12 in Güzelburç district of Antakya district. Police teams want to stop a vehicle they suspect during patrol. The vehicle driver did not comply with the command “Stop” and ran away. The car lost control during the police pursuit and fell into the river.
During the police investigation of the vehicle, nine illegal immigrants without residence permits and MM, who was supposed to have brought them to the dormitory, were arrested. Hospital treatment for 10 people injured in the accident has been completed.
Among the injured, 9 illegal immigrants were deported after completing procedures at the Provincial Migration Management Department. Driver MM was arrested by the judge.
