Stating that negotiations are continuing on four points in the Gaza talks held in Egypt, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said, “If there is an agreement today, a ceasefire will be declared.” Stating that Syria's security is of primary importance to Türkiye and that the SDF should be out of the equation, Fidan stated that this should be implemented in the March 10 agreement.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hasan Shaybani, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said: “Just as Syria fulfills its obligations, countries in the region and the international community must also fulfill their obligations.” he said.
Stating that Israel's attacks on Syria are one of the most important issues, Fidan said, “Ensuring peace and security in Syria will be possible with its territorial integrity. The expectation of the Syrian people from the international community is a clear opposition to Israeli attacks.”

“The SDF, which has been pursuing a separatist agenda under the guise of fighting against DAESH, must now abandon this equation,” Hakan Fidan said, adding: “In today's meeting, we talked about the steps that need to be taken for the immediate and full implementation of the March 10 agreement. Elements targeting Syria's security also pose a security threat to our country.” he said.
Stating that there are steps to be taken and the parties should do their part, Minister Fidan said, “SGD should not implement taqiya but should comply with the March 10 agreement. We do not want there to be a boil outside Türkiye that affects the fate of the region.” he said.

Speaking about the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza held in Egypt, Foreign Minister Fidan said that today's negotiations have entered a new phase.
Stating that he spoke about the latest situation with MİT Chairman İbrahim Kalın, who is in Egypt for negotiations, Fidan said, “Discussions continue on the four target issues. If a compromise is reached today, a ceasefire will be declared. After the ceasefire, hostages and corpses in the hands of Hamas will be exchanged for those sentenced to life imprisonment in the hands of Israel. An increase in humanitarian aid in large quantities. Hasan Şeybani said that the Syrian people will never forget Türkiye's support.
Şeybani said: “Steps have been taken within the scope of the Syrian constitution and international law. We emphasized the principle of the territorial integrity of our country. We held a series of dialogues with the SDF. It is for one country, one army and one land. We also expressed that we oppose any attempt towards division. In this context, Israel still threatens our security. We continue to dialogue with The SDF is based on the principle of one nation.” he said.
Stating that the agreement is still on paper, Şeybani said, “We invite the SDF to comply with the agreement. Failure to implement this agreement will cause casualties among the Syrian people and delays in service delivery.” he said.
