REQUIRES PRISON OF UP TO 24 YEARS
In the indictment prepared for the murder case, Serap Avcı was ordered to serve up to 24 years in prison.
In the doctor's report accompanying the indictment, it was stated that Avcı suffered bruising and bruising in various parts of his body.
DECISION HEARING TO BE HELD
The verdict hearing regarding the murder case was held at the Küçükçekmece High Criminal Court No. 6. Avcı and party lawyers attended the hearing.
Defendant Serap Avcı, who defended himself at the hearing, said: “I had to endure this man for many years.” he said.
Stating that there was an argument between him and his wife on the day of the incident, Avcı said: “My child's mentality cannot bear it anymore. He is still very young. I lost myself in the incident.” he said.
Avcı asked for his release.
The defendant's defense lawyers argued that Serap Avcı's actions were still within the scope of self-defense and requested an acquittal and the defendant's release.
IT IS DECIDED TO RELEASE
In announcing its decision on the merits, the jury decided that despite having filed a complaint against defendant Serap Avcı for the intentional murder of her husband, it was not necessary to impose a penalty on the defendant on the grounds that his actions remained within the limits of a legitimate defense and ordered the defendant's release, taking into account the time he spent in detention.
