
Sındırgı, where thousands of aftershocks occurred after two main earthquakes of magnitude 6.1, was shaken by two consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 3.8 and 3.5 at midnight.
Aftershocks continued to occur in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir after a magnitude 6.1 earthquake on August 10 and October 27. Two consecutive strong earthquakes with magnitudes 3.8 and 3.5 occurred in the district.
According to AFAD Earthquake Department data, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake occurred in Sındırgı at 03:50. A magnitude 3.5 earthquake occurred at 03.51, 1 minute after the 5.37 km depth earthquake. The depth of this earthquake was measured at 7 km.
2.5 months after the 6.1 magnitude earthquake on August 10, Balıkesir's Sındırgı district was shaken again by an earthquake of similar magnitude on October 27.
