The company owner was arrested for an accident in which a worker fell into the sea and died while working on a dock during a storm in Aydın.
Scaffolding work carried out yesterday in Kuşadası district of Aydın despite adverse weather conditions has turned into a major disaster. Three workers fell from the dock into the sea due to strong waves during the storm and were stuck at sea for a long time.
After receiving the notification, medical, fire, police and coast guard teams were dispatched to the area. Teams arriving at the scene began efforts to save Abdullah K., Muharrem D. and İsmail Dağ, who fell into the sea. The teams took Abdullah K. (26 years old) and Muharrem D. (22 years old) out of the sea and handed them over to the medical team.
The lifeless body of İsmail Dağ (30 years old) fell into the sea and was found 100 meters from the scene. While the two injured workers were taken to the hospital by ambulance, it was learned that Abdullah K.'s life was in danger. The lifeless body of İsmail Dağ, who lost his life, was taken to the hospital morgue.
It is alleged that the workers reported that before work there was a storm and they did not want to work but were asked to continue work.
After the incident, ZA, manager of Le Blue Hotel, and Y.Ö., owner Özkan İnşaat, carried out maintenance and demolition work at the dock. He was arrested by the police team. While ZA, who completed the procedure at the police station and was taken to court, was released under judicial control, Y.Ö. He was arrested and sent to prison.
