
In the new week, the National Assembly will discuss tax regulations, a bill paving the way for the release of 55,000 prisoners and important regulations on the 2026 budget.
Discussions on the proposed law, including tax-related regulations, will continue at the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament (TBMM) this week.
With the proposal, annual tax fees will be collected from jewelry, used car sales, documents of some private medical organizations, precious metals and livestock business licenses. The exemption for selling and transferring registered vehicles will also be abolished. A fair notary fee will be charged on the sale and transfer price of these transactions provided that it is not less than one thousand liras. A fee of 2 thousandths will be collected from the sale of new and used vehicles.
PUNISHMENT FOR WRONG CREATION
The 25 percent penalty for making false statements in real estate sales will be increased by a factor of one. Income tax exemption will be abolished for residential rental income, except for pensioners and those receiving widow and orphan benefits. The loan premium rate, excluding childbirth, will increase from 32% to 45%.
THE 11TH JUSTICE PACKAGE IS UNDER PARTICIPATION
The Judiciary Committee will discuss the 11th Judicial Package on Wednesday. With the proposal, regulations introduced during the Covid-19 period and allowing for early release would also include those who committed crimes before July 31, 2023 and for whom a final determination has not yet been made.
Thus, the evacuation route will be opened for 55 thousand prisoners in the first phase and about 95 thousand prisoners in the near future.
BUDGET MEETING
Budget work is coming to an end at the National Assembly's Planning and Budget Committee. Finally, the President's budget and provisions in the budget proposal will be discussed in committee. The General Assembly's budget session will begin on December 8.
