In Bursa, a 78-year-old man died after being run over by a garbage truck backing up in a market.
After the Saturday market dispersed in Bursa's Karacabey district, Hasan K. (54 years old), who was driving the city's garbage truck, started backing up. Meanwhile, the driver allegedly did not pay attention to Mustafa Akman, who was talking on the phone, and placed him under the truck.
The driver saw Akman trapped under the rear wheel of the truck, shouted and warned the driver and stopped the vehicle. After receiving the notification, the medical team was dispatched to the accident scene. It was determined that Mustafa Akman, who was pulled out from under the garbage truck, was killed. Akman's body was taken to the Karacabey State Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police arrested Hazan K., continuing to investigate the accident.
