Relatives of TAI martyred workers spoke out a year later and expressed their feelings.Mechanical engineer Zahide Güçlü Ekici's wife, mechanical engineer Yalçın Ekici, said they met in 2005 when they were students at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Balıkesir University, got married after school and had a daughter. Yalçın Ekici explained that the attack took place on their 14th wedding anniversary and continued as follows: “- Normally, Zahide doesn't care much about things like wedding anniversaries. But especially last year, I think she had interesting expectations. She asked questions like 'Are we going out somewhere?' So I made a reservation somewhere. – I organized it somewhere in the morning and sent flowers. I told her about our dinner reservations. 'Let's go with Ece, Ece.' “I won't let you live,” he said. That morning, after sending flowers, I received a notification that the flowers were out of stock, so I informed her.Yalçın Ekici said his wife is working on helicopter projects and said, “He is working at GÖKBEY. His main job is to produce and integrate the parts we buy from abroad using local and national means.” he said. Explaining how her husband played an important role in placing important products on the GÖKBEY helicopter, Ekici said: “She is a very aggressive person and has succeeded in a male-dominated world, working non-stop. She values teamwork very much.” he said. Ekici continued: “- Our daughter Ece survived lymphoma at the age of 6. Our daughter's hair was long. Before hearing the news of Ece's illness, we cut our daughter's hair as a donor. We donated that hair to make wigs for cancer patients. Then, such a disease happened to us. – Of course, as a family, we were very affected and exhausted. Explaining how her martyr husband loved their son Alaz very much, Aysan Coşkun continued as follows: “- Cengiz loved his work and was a very meticulous person because of his work. He liked to live his life to the fullest, except for work. – On the day of the incident, he saved a friend from the workplace, his friend told him during the funeral. He told his friend to lie down on the ground. He was just shot at feet and said: 'Brother Cengiz also saved me. when he left.' – He visits his grave every week, sometimes twice a week. “I know.”The brother of martyr technician Hasan Hüseyin Canbaz, Ali Canbaz, said that his brother has worked at TUSAŞ for six years. “He worked in the production of structural parts for aircraft. Canbaz continued: “About 3 months before the incident, he answered his wife's dream saying: 'My death will make a little noise, Cano, there will be a crowd'. – We thought we had lost the martyrs; but they just moved to a place we cannot reach and are always with us. – Today, we remember the silent heroes who are not in this story.”Pınar Erdoğan, wife of martyred security guard Atakan Şahin Erdoğan, said: “Our daughters love their father very much, I guess that's why we can't get used to being without him.” he said. Explaining that his wife has worked at TUSAŞ for 17 years, Erdoğan said: “We were planning to celebrate my little daughter's birthday the next day. We took the elevator together and I took her to work at 14:00. She said 'I love you very much', we hugged and left. We broke up like that every day.” Erdoğan continued: “- Atakan was very brave. Even if we were with him, even if my daughter was in his hands, he would have left him and gone to that conflict, so I have no regrets, I am proud of my husband. – Of course, my daughters are also proud of their father. There are no words to describe our pain, but there are also no words to express this pride.”
