In Türkiye, 2,329 people died at the scene in 266,275 traffic accidents involving death or injury in 11 months. Driver error is the leading cause of traffic accidents, injuring 377,000 267 people.
According to data from the General Directorate of Transport Security, 618 thousand 777 accidents occurred across Türkiye between January and November.
The number of fatal accidents recorded was 1,995, the number of accidents with injuries was 264,280, and the number of accidents causing material damage was 352,502.

In these accidents, 2,329 people died at the scene and 377,267 people were injured.
DRIVING ERRORS 288 THOUSAND 955
Driver error ranks first among the causes of traffic accidents that result in death or injury.
In accidents, driver error was recorded as 288 thousand 955, pedestrian error as 24 thousand 374, passenger error as 1772, vehicle error as 2 thousand 546 and road error as 1078.
SIDE ACCIDENTS ARE THE FIRST TYPE OF ACCIDENTS
According to the type of traffic accident with death or injury, side collision is ranked first.

HIGHEST SPEED DUE TO DRIVING ERROR
“Failure to adjust vehicle speed to suit road, weather and traffic conditions” ranks first among driver errors in traffic accidents leading to death or injury.
Driver errors and the number that cause the most accidents are as follows:
“Failure to adjust vehicle speed in accordance with required road, weather and traffic conditions 105 thousand 602, failure to comply with overtaking priority at intersections, walkways and narrow road surfaces 47 thousand 470, failure to comply with lane change monitoring rules 23 thousand 655, collision from behind 25 thousand 702, failure to comply with turning rules 23 thousand 975, failure to comply with general driving conditions control 11 thousand 855.”
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS ON CAMERA

The images were shared with the aim of drawing attention to errors in traffic accidents and minimizing violations between drivers and pedestrians including accidents caused by drivers running lights, not adjusting vehicle speed in accordance with required road, weather and traffic conditions, not complying with overtaking priority at intersections, crossroads and places with narrow road surfaces.
