Users in Western countries complain about problems with the YouTube video hosting service. This is proven by data from the Down detector monitoring service.
US residents left the largest number of complaints – more than 320 thousand. According to the platform, 18% of users reported difficulty accessing the website, 16% reported problems playing videos, and another 56% said the mobile app did not work correctly.
It should be noted that accessing YouTube is also difficult in the UK, Germany, Italy and France. More than 37 thousand complaints about problems were received from England, about 7 thousand from Germany and more than 5 thousand from Italy.
Recently, Android Authority journalists and Reddit forum users noticed that Google has increased its measures against YouTubers who use extensions to block ads. According to users, when the ad blocker is activated, the descriptions below the video disappear and instead of comments, the message “Comments disabled” is displayed. After disabling the extension, the interface elements will be restored.
