Experts of Physics and Moscow Institute of Engineering (MIPT) have developed a significant acceleration algorithm of seismic data processing. Technology allows you to convert measurement results into detailed maps of underground structures with minimum number of mathematical activities.

Unlike traditional methods, the new method uses the concept of the Schrödinger-AA mathematical model that was developed again in the 1930s. The algorithm creates a connection between the close and reference model, reducing the number of necessary calculations from thousands to 50-100 operations.
Development will be found in the exploration and construction industry. It will more accurate assessment of seismic risks and detect more efficiently for mineral deposits. Technology operates on the principle of gradually data screening, converting the initial fuzzy information into a clear picture of underground structures.
The authors of the algorithm are MIPT Adrorey Stankevich and the head of Igor Petrov Faculty. Their development has proven the quality of the results equivalent to traditional methods with significantly lower computing costs.
