AltStore PAL, an alternative iOS app store created in the EU after opening the platform to third-party stores, has announced plans to enter new markets. The information was posted by the founder and developer of the project, Riley Testut, on his blog.

AltStore PAL is scheduled to launch in Japan, Brazil and Australia in the coming months, followed by the UK in 2026. The team is currently awaiting approval from Apple and invites developers to review documents in preparation for publishing their apps on the store.
The founders of AltStore PAL emphasize that it is only a matter of time before alternative platforms to iOS expand globally, and each new country brings them closer to this goal.
AltStore PAL is the official and alternative app store for iPhone, available only in EU countries. It allows users to download apps by bypassing the App Store, which is the only official source of downloads in other countries. Despite the store's uniqueness, the service never became popular even in the EU.
