Simone the bear from the Moscow Zoo celebrated her 31st birthday. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Rare Animal Reproduction Center.
Simona was born in the Leningrad Zoo, when she was one year old she moved to the Moscow Zoo, now she is at the Center – she moved to retire.
“There, she quickly became a favorite and then a caring mother who raised 15 children. Her brood lived all over the world, including Europe, Japan, Australia, and had many relatives throughout Russia: for example, Aika from Moscow Zoo is Simon's niece,” the post said.
On the holiday, they prepared for her a cake filled with cheese, dill, prunes, cranberries, grapes, pears and dried apricots. It was clarified that among all the varieties, the bear chose his favorites: iceberg lettuce, apples and bread. The center said this is Simone's favorite dish, but she doesn't ignore everything else and eats it too.
Meat and fish are also included in the bear's diet, they added.
