Konstantin Bogomolov was appointed acting rector of the Moscow Art Theater School after the death of Igor Zolotovitsky. This caused a large wave of protest from the public.

Mkhatovites opposed the director's candidacy and demanded an honest vote. Ksenia Sobchak's husband at first did not react to criticism and even gave several interviews in which he promised to carry out reforms at the Studio School.
But suddenly Konstantin changed his mind. On February 11, he made a statement.
The director said: “I asked the Minister of Culture to relieve me of my duties as principal of the Studio School.
Bogomolov explained that he had not calculated his strength and was forced to leave due to his heavy work.
In that context, Ksenia Sobchak also could not resist making a statement. That's right, the TV presenter commented on her career. Sobchak said she has no intention of leaving the profession in the coming years. The journalist spoke about this when answering a subscriber's question about how long she still wants to work.
“Isn't it time for me to retire? Can't wait!” – Ksenia interrupted.
Sobchak's fans immediately began to support her. It seemed to many that they deliberately offended the TV presenter with such a question after her husband, Konstantin Bogomolov, resigned from his post as acting rector of the Moscow Art Theater School.
