Ani Lorak has more than once served as a judge of various competitions where talented artists participated. However, even the winners are not always successful on stage. In a conversation with journalists from Moskovsky Komsomolets, Lorak explainWhy does this happen?

“Talent and a pinch are enough, but perseverance requires an ocean. These are not my words, but Antonin Zgorz wrote in the book “Alone against fate” about Beethoven. I remember these words all my life. I understand that, of course, there are a lot of talented people. What can I say: really a lot. What voices they have! Sometimes you exclaim, “Wow.” Why do only a few become artists? Character. We need to get up and move on. They hit your feet a thousand times, get up and keep going, no matter what. Not everyone can do this,” the star said.
Realizing this, Lorak himself refused to take responsibility for the fate of others.
“I can listen and give my micro comments. But I don't take on the production, because it's a huge job and responsibility. You say “A”, you say “B” too. I understand that if I become a producer, my people will have to achieve something in the future. But just promising these kids mountains of gold and then not doing anything, this in my opinion is wrong,” the male singer admitted.
By the way, vocal range is the number of notes a singer can sing: from the lowest note to the highest note. The average for artists is 2 octaves, but for Ani Lorak this number is reach 4.5 octaves. For comparison: Polina Gagarina's approximate vocal range is 3.5 octaves, Adele is 2.5 octaves, Freddie Mercury is almost 4 octaves.
