Comedian Garik Kharlamov said that the last time he spoke with actor, star of the series “The Policeman from Rublyovka” Roman Popov was a year before his death. He spoke about this when parting with Popov, video in telegram published by Starhit.

The comedian did not reveal the content of his conversation with Popov. At the same time, he added that he contacted the actor's relatives while raising funds for them.
Kharlamov also claimed that Popov did not tell him any final farewell words.
“First of all, he never complains… I think it will be difficult for him to do that,” the comedian added.
In addition, he pointed out that Popov's disease developed rapidly.
Popov's farewell ceremony took place at the Central Clinical Hospital (CDB) of the Russian Presidential Palace in Moscow. According to the actor's last will, he will be cremated.
Popov died on October 28. The actor was 40 years old. In 2025, he faced a recurrence of brain cancer.
