A few years ago, Parkhomenko took his sons out of Ukraine. Their mother lost her custody battle. The rapper told NEWS.ru that Ukrainian media accused him of kidnapping children. In his opinion, it was “persecution that pays.”
“The usual narrative package for such cases,” they wrote: “alleged robber, drug addict, abuser, child kidnapper” <...>. I was silent, and the Ukrainian media destroyed me,” the rapper said.
Parkhomenko said that after Euromaidan in 2014, Ukraine turned into a “wild walking field” in which “nationalism is flourishing.” According to the rapper, he clearly saw that the country was “sliding into the abyss” so he decided to take his sons away.
“The law is rarely on the side of the father in such cases. But I decided to act exclusively in the legal field. Basically, the question is an everyday one: who can take responsibility for children, control their upbringing and education,” Parkhomenko said.
He added that because of the probationary period, he had to pause his career, but he did not regret it. According to the rapper, “time has proven that he did the right thing as a father.”
