WHEN WILL THE MINIMUM WAGE DETERMINING COMMITTEE MEET?
The Committee for determining the minimum wage is carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, meeting in the first week of December every year.
The commission is governed by a board consisting of workers, employers and government representatives.
Accordingly; Meetings to raise the 2026 minimum wage are expected to begin the first week of December.
HOW MUCH WILL THE MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE IN 2026 BE?
Speaking specially to Ntv, TOBB ETÜ Faculty Member, Professor Dr. Cem Kılıç, said that the estimated increase rate is in the range of 25-30%.
This year, the net minimum wage is 22 thousand 104 TL. If the minimum wage increases by 30% in 2026, this figure will increase to 28 thousand 735 TL, and if it increases by 25%, it will increase to 27 thousand 630 TL.
WHEN WILL THE NEW MINIMUM WAGE BE ANNOUNCED?
Like previous years, the 2026 minimum wage is expected to be officially announced with President Erdoğan's approval in the last week of December.
