In Istanbul, residents will be able to create and pay their own water bills instead of city employees.
A new method regarding reading water meters in the city has been introduced by İSKİ, an organization of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM).
In this context, citizens will be able to read water meters and bill themselves, instead of IMM staff having to read water meters until now.
In the information shared on İSKİ's social media accounts, subscribers can create their digital invoices through the mobile application using the “Create Your Own Invoice” application.
INDEX INFORMATION AND DEVICE IMAGES WILL BE IMPORTED
It is claimed that residents will enter their latest water meter readings and images of their water meters into the app, after which a bill can be generated digitally with a verification code sent to their mobile phone.
The information also states that official organizations and non-residential municipalities can use this new system.
On the other hand, previously, a parliamentary question was submitted in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council regarding allegations that residents were overcharged due to water meters in the city not being read on time.
