
Golden Orange award-winning director Seren Yüce was injured in an armed attack at her home in Istanbul's Şişli district. The escaped attacker is wanted.
Famous director Seren Yüce, known for works such as “Innocent”, “The Town” and “Majority”, was injured when an attacker wearing a helmet opened fire while knocking on her door in Şişli, Istanbul.
Police teams were dispatched to the address as informed by the wife of Golden Orange award-winning director Yüce.
When the director was taken to the hospital and was being treated, it was learned that the attacker had escaped.
Police have opened an investigation into the incident.

Seren Yüce, a graduate of the Department of Archeology at Bilkent University, started her film career in advertising and television series.
Yüce worked as an assistant director in the film “On the Edge of Life” and as first assistant director in the films “Takva”, “Anlat İstanbul” and “Pandora's Box”.
Yüce, 50, won the “Future Lion” award at the 67th Venice Film Festival and the “Orange Best Director Award” at the 47th Orange Film Festival with his first film “Majority” in 2010.
In 2016, Seren Yüce won the “Best Screenplay Award” at the 40th Montreal World Film Festival with “Lotus Swinging in the Wind”. In 2017, Yüce directed the drama “Innocent” written by Berkun Oya.
