Declaring that AFAD units, AKOM and fire brigades will be vigilant against fires and similar hazards, the authorities also announced that the relevant agencies will take necessary measures to combat telephone, electricity, water and natural gas breakdowns and malfunctions.

Heavy vehicles and construction equipment are prohibited from entering Sarıyer, Şişli, Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Fatih, Bakırköy, Zeytinburnu and Kadıköy districts from 08:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31 until 12:00 Thursday, January 1.
