A lawsuit has been filed in Istanbul against the woman who killed her husband, whom she described as violent, by pouring hot oil on him while he was sleeping, asking for a prison sentence of 18 to 24 years.
In the Üsküdar district of Istanbul, a woman named Zeynep G. killed her husband Sinan G. by pouring hot oil on him while he was sleeping.
REQUIRES PRISON OF UP TO 24 YEARS
The investigation carried out by the Anatolian Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office regarding the case has been completed.
The indictment states that the defendant admitted the allegations in the statement given during the investigation phase, affirming that the defendant and the defendant have been married for 24 years and have 2 children.
The indictment included information that there was a problem between the couple due to the victim's drinking and violent behavior towards the defendant but it was not reported to judicial authorities.
It is known that on the day of the incident, the defendant waited for his drunk wife to come home to sleep, then determined that she was asleep, then went to the kitchen to boil sunflower oil in a pot and then poured the oil on the sleeping wife, killing her.
The indictment emphasized that the defendant planned to commit the act by waiting for the victim to sleep for a reasonable period of time before committing the crime and acting in a strange mood. It is known that the crime was committed under unprovoked provocation due to acts of violence between husband and wife before the incident and the victim was addicted to alcohol.
In the indictment, it was requested that defendant Zeynep G., to whom the unfair provocation discount was applied, be sentenced to 18 to 24 years in prison for “murder by intentionally provoking her husband without cause, with monstrous emotions or by torture.”
WHAT HAPPENED?
The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, October 15, at a house on Varol Street, Ünalan District, Üsküdar District. Allegedly, Sinan G. started arguing with Zeynep G. because she came home drunk. The argument of the couple who had been married for 25 years soon ended and Sinan G. fell asleep. Zeynep G. poured hot oil she heated in the kitchen on her sleeping husband, Sinan G.. Upon receiving the notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical team took the injured Sinan G. to the hospital. Zeynep G., the person who carried out the incident, was arrested by the police team.
