
Rainy weather will enter the country across the Aegean Sea this evening, affecting the central and northern regions from Sunday. Snow and sleet are expected in nine cities and heavy rain in 27 cities in the new week.
According to data from the General Administration of Meteorology (MGM), heavy rains that started today in the area around Muğla and Aydın will spread to the northern and inland areas of the country in the new week. Rainfall will give way to sleet and snow, especially in Central Anatolia.
Heavy rainfall is expected around Muğla starting Saturday evening. Today, occasional mist and fog are forecast along with ice and frost in northern, central and eastern areas.
It is estimated that air temperatures will be cold across the country today but above normal seasonal levels.
