In Istanbul's Avcılar district, a car caught fire when it allegedly crashed into a truck that made a wrong turn. One person died in the accident.
Last night, on Petrol Ofisi Street in Cihangir District, Avcılar District of Istanbul, the truck driven by Eyüp Y. made a wrong turn at the intersection and collided with the car driven by Kaan Mustafa T., coming from the opposite direction.
Kaan Mustafa T., the driver of the car that burned due to the collision, and Berkan Balcıoğlu, who was next to him, were rescued from where they were trapped with the help of the fire brigade.
Balcıoğlu died in the hospital where he was taken after first aid. The treatment of injured driver Kaan Mustafa T. continues at the hospital. The truck driver was arrested.
Footage recorded by a security camera shows the truck dragging the car it hit while turning, then the car burst into flames.
