
Five suspects detained in connection with the death of special operations police officer Emre Albayrak during the drug raid in Istanbul Çekmeköy have been transferred to the criminal justice of the peace agency on duty with a request for their arrest.
27-year-old police officer Emre Albayrak, who was seriously injured by a fire that broke out during a drug operation carried out at a house in Çekmeköy on December 8, died at the hospital where he was taken.
Procedures for arresting 5 people within the scope of investigation of the case have been completed at the Homicide Investigation Department of the General Department of Public Order.
Ramazan A.'s wife, mother, father Cemal A., brother Çetin A. and his wife, who died as a result of firing by a police team after carrying out the attack, were transferred to the Anatolian Palace of Justice in Kartal, along with the police.
The suspects were transferred to the criminal justice of the peace agency on duty with a request for arrest for 'opposing Law No. 6136' and 'resisting the prevention of the performance of official duties'. It is known that investigations related to 'drug trafficking' charges against the suspects are still continuing.

Police teams carried out a drug operation at the house on Adnan Kahveci Street in Çekmeköy Aydınlar district at around 07:30 a.m. on December 8, and police officer Emre Albayrak, who was seriously injured by the fire that broke out from the house, died at the hospital where he was taken.
During the conflict, Ramazan A. (35), who carried out the attack, was killed, and Çetin A. (27) and Cemal A. (58) were captured.
