
A taxi driver returning from work in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, was stabbed to death near his home.
Taxi driver was murdered.
Erhan Çiftçi (35 years old), of Telsiz Mahallesi Street 84/C, was stabbed near his house after leaving the taxi in which he worked at night.
Seriously injured Farmer died despite the intervention of the medical team called to the scene.
Some of Çiftçi's relatives who arrived at the scene had a nervous breakdown. Çiftçi's body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine's morgue after an autopsy.
RESEARCH HAS BEGUN
Police teams began an operation to arrest the suspect or suspects.
It was learned that there had recently been a murder in the same neighborhood and that Çiftçi was at the scene, and Çiftçi's cousin was in prison because of the incident.
Tayfun Sülük, Erhan Çiftçi's friend at the taxi stand where he worked, told reporters that Çiftçi was a person who only cared about his business and that his relative had been involved in a previous incident but he did not know the details.
CAUGHT
The suspect who used a knife to attack Çiftçi was identified as Serkan B.
Serkan B., who was found to have six previous convictions, was arrested with the knife he used in the incident.
