
The sixth deep drilling ship operating in the Black Sea is anchored off the coast of Mersin. The ship will begin operations next year and will drill six new exploration wells.
After the first twin deep-sea drillship to join Türkiye's energy fleet arrived on September 30, the second arrived off the coast of Mersin.
The 7th generation ultra-deepwater drilling ship was delivered to the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), anchored about 1 mile from Taşucu Port. The ship, capable of drilling up to 12 thousand meters in deep seas, will wait in port for inspection and certification processes.
UNIDENTIFIED NAME
The unnamed drillships No. 5 and No. 6 will participate in the mission after Fatih, Yavuz, Kanuni and Abdulhamid Han and will be returned to their duty station after port procedures.
