The famous singer-songwriter returns to compose new songs. His debut was the moving, mid-tempo composition “Daughter.” It is performed in the best traditions of Yury Antonov from the 80s: a memorable introduction to the lead guitar, warm and wise intonation in the vocals, vibrant rhythms, beautiful melodies.
At the same time, as you know, Yury Antonov himself does not have a daughter. However, the song is so sincere and warm, so bright that in the program “Gatherings” on “Road Radio”, the musician decided to talk in more detail about how and why he wrote such a hit.
– I have cherished this creative idea for a long time. It is very rare that poetry and music coincide perfectly, but “Daughter” is exactly such a case”, Yury Antonov said in a radio interview – The song was born from the request of an old friend to write a song for his beloved daughter.
The artist added that “the ups and downs of family life are a topic close to all parents. I'm sure many will recognize themselves in these lines. Even though the song has only been on the air for a few days, many listeners have already asked if the song can be found on digital services. Honestly, it fits so well into the musical framework of “Road Radio” that I'm not sure if it's worth releasing elsewhere…”
As a result, the song can currently only be heard on air. And not only on “Road Radio”, but also, for example, on “Russian Radio”. However, a video clip was shot for “Daughter”, showing photos of Yuri Antonov from different years of his musical career.
