Actor and singer Mikhail Boyarsky was fined for not paying another fine on time. RIA Novosti reported this, citing documents from the court in St. Petersburg. Documents say Boyarsky was fined double the unpaid amount. The court's decision has taken legal effect; Boyarsky did not file a complaint. Details of the incident are unknown.
On November 25, it became known that actor Leonid Yarmolnik risks being fined twice as much for not paying his debt on time for the previous one. On May 23, it was reported that the Moscow Court of First Instance fined actor Igor Vernik for not paying another fine on time.
The judge is guided by part 1 of article 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Violations of the Russian Federation (“Failure to pay administrative fines on time”). The code stipulates that violators can be fined double, arrested for up to 15 days or subjected to forced labor for up to 50 hours.
